Dr. Becerra graduated with honors in endodontics and community service from the University of California, San Francisco. He received the Nguyen T. Nguyen Award for Achievement in Endodontics and the Liga Mac Community Service Award. At Lutheran Medical Center-San Francisco, he completed the Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) program, which focused on implant dentistry and oral surgery.

He completed the Maxi Implant mini-residency and symposium and attended the Mega Implant Institute in Tijuana, Mexico.
